Announcing a New Date, New Venue, and New Beneficiaries for 2017
The Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation and The Wente Foundation for Arts Education announce a new date and a new venue for the 23rd annual Livermore Valley Wine Auction, Wine Making a Difference. After 22 successful years in the spring, the event will be held in the fall, on September 23, 2017. The fall date captures the excitement of the harvest season, and is during the annual California Wine Month. And, the event will be held at a new venue in 2017, the Wente Vineyards Event Center on Arroyo Road in the Livermore Valley. This new venue will accommodate more guests and enable the host foundations to create an even more dramatic and impactful event.
The Livermore Valley Wine Auction supports underserved East Bay children. This year’s event will benefit four deserving programs: Camp Phoenix, George Mark Children’s House, Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center, SonRise Equestrian, and musical instruments for Tri-Valley schools. Since its inception, the Auction has raised over $4.5 million for children in the East Bay.
The 2017 Livermore Valley Wine Auction will feature acclaimed local winemakers pouring their best wines while guests browse an extensive silent auction. The black tie evening also includes a three-course dinner, an exciting live auction, and dancing to live music. Last year the event sold out with 300 guests, and the new venue in 2017 can accommodate up to 450 guests.
The mission of the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation is to raise funds to improve the quality of life for under-served local children. The mission of the Wente Foundation for Arts Education is to provide support for arts education programs in the Livermore Valley. Since 2012, these two foundations have partnered to present the Livermore Valley Wine Auction, in support of East Bay children.
